If you are using Outlook for desktop, you will have one the following icons for your email. Please follow the instructions needed for updating your email address. Image 1

Steps: New Outlook
(New Outlook - See green circle in image 2. If you do not see this, skip down to Old Outlook instructions.)
1. Click the gear icon (red arrow) located in the upper right corner. The email address currently configured is displayed in the red circle. Image 2

2. Click on the "Manage" button. Image 3

3. Click on the "Remove" button. Image 4
You will not lose any email or email addresses in this process, as everything on your account is stored on Microsoft servers, and not stored locally.

4. This box will appear after deleting your account in the last step. Type your new email in the highlighted field (red arrow), removing the old address if necessary. Image 5

After adding your new address to the new Outlook, some may see additional screens where you can opt out of the Microsoft's cloud-based experiences. Feel free to follow this
link for more information. If you do not see the following screens, you have finished setting up your new email address.
If
Outlook still shows the old email address, check again in 24-48 hours.
It can take time for the changes to sync across all servers. If it has
not updated beyond 48 hours, contact
itsupport@abwe.org for assistance.

6. Click on "General", then Privacy and data" and then click on "Privacy settings". Image 7

7. Click on the toggle button next to "Turn on optional connected experiences" to turn on or turn off the setting.
Click "Close" after making the desired setting change. Image 8

8. This completes the configuration change. Close Outlook and re-open.
(Old Outlook)
Steps: Old Outlook
1. To change your email address in the Old Outlook, click on "File" towards the top left of your Outlook window. Image 9

3. Click on the "Data Files" tab and then click on the "Add..." button. Image 11

4.Choose a location on your computer to create a temporary data file and select "OK". Image 12
In the following example we chose to save it to a OneDrive location, but you can choose to save it in any location you choose. Saving this file is only necessary for the immediate step of
facilitating the removal of the old email address in the following steps and will
not be required later.

4. Click on the old "Email" tab(1), select your old email address (2) and click "Remove" (3). Image 12

4. Close Outlook, wait for it to close completely (count to 10) and then re-open Outlook.

7. Enter your updated email address and click "Connect". Image 15
Follow any necessary prompts to authenticate your account.

Your new email address has now been added to Outlook. Please reach out to IT Support for any further assistance.
